What Happens?

During our initial telephone conversation we can talk about what you would like to achieve from counselling.

The first meeting is generally to explore what it is you would like to address and for us to look at how we might work together.

A mutually convenient day and time is agreed for us to meet once a week. The sessions are 50 minutes in duration.

Our work together may be shorter term (6-12 weeks) or open-ended, for a longer period. This can be discussed in our first meeting.

Trust and understanding contribute to forming our partnership. As our partnership gets stronger so does the feeling of security and safety. This provides the foundations for us to explore some of the difficulties and challenges that might be troubling you.

Counselling provides the experience of being listened to and seen for all that you are. The whole of you. This allows us to discover your inner strength and reserve – the parts of you that you have yet to unlock or perhaps re-connect with.
